County of Montgomery Office Support Person IV - Inheritance Tax Clerk in Norristown, Pennsylvania
SUMMARY
This position is in charge of docketing of Inheritance Tax, accepting inheritance tax payment and pulling daily Itemization of Inheritance Tax Receipts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Docketing of Inheritance Tax, also accept inheritance tax payment. • Docket all County Forms (Inventory, Certification of Notice and Status Report). • Pull daily Itemization of Inheritance Tax Receipts. • Pull Monthly Report for Inheritance Tax. • Prepare and submit the Inheritance Monthly Report and issue to the Register of Wills for certification. • Issue the PA Department of Revenue copies of Register of Wills Monthly Report. • Daily deposit for inheritance tax payments. • Research County files for estate information. • Assign file numbers for Non-probate Estates. • Verbal, written and telephone contact with customers. • Prepare all inheritance documents for scanning. • Mail duplicate copy of the Rev-1500 (Inheritance Tax Form) to Bureau of Individual Tax Division. • Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma. • 2 years related experience • Excellent inter-personal skills • Proficient in MS office/Word • Proficient in all Register of Wills Probate data bases and programs • Professionalism in dealing with colleagues, public and Pennsylvania Department of Revenue • Must be able to operate the following equipment: o Computer/Printer o Telephone o Copier o Fax o Microfilm Reader/Printer o Adding machine
