Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Laborer - Norristown State Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania

The Department of Human Services is seeking a non-permanent, temporary Laborer to provide maintenance and grounds services at Norristown State Hospital. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Laborer, you will perform a variety of work in the care of grounds and maintenance at Norristown State Hospital. Work duties may include moving furniture or equipment; assisting in the Laundry Department; and assisting in the demolition and removal of debris from job sites. In addition, you will perform laborer work in various areas within the Maintenance Department.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Temporary, full-time employment (37.50-hour work week) Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirement: You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. You must pass a background investigation. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
