Position Summary

Bridgestone seeks energetic and motivated Multi-craft Maintenance Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Bloomington, Illinois.

*The team is seeking a candidate with a mechanical, electrical and PLC focus

Responsibilities

Your shift pattern will most likely start out on Night Shift (7pm-7am) but can change as you get experience and seniority

Schedule: Full-time, 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off. Work only half of the calendar month (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off).

Pay:

  • Up to $7500 SIGN ON BONUS

  • Starting rate $30.64, with an increase after 120 days to $33.60. Potential to earn up to $37.79

  • 4 hours of guaranteed overtime at 1.5x every other week

  • Additional overtime opportunities at 1.5x

Principal duties including but not limited to:

-Perform duties in accordance with all Safety Procedures including those mandated by NFPA 70E.

-Utilize electronic test equipment (including computers) as well as schematics and technical manuals.

-Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and building equipment.

-Communicate and document troubleshooting efforts as well as recommend solutions to the problem .

-Industrial Mechanics and Troubleshooting

Core competencies:

  • Mechanical theory and application

  • Fluid system theory and application

  • Electrical theory and application

  • Electronic (analog and digital) theory and application

  • Functional knowledge of PLCs and ladder logic

  • Read technical drawings and schematics

  • Measuring devices and their uses

  • Fabrication

  • OSHA safety rules for manufacturing plants, including electrical safety and LOTO

  • Troubleshooting with minimal supervision

  • Operation and use of hand tools

  • Operation and use of power tools

  • Functional knowledge of computers and Microsoft office

  • Functional ability to clearly communicate via electronic media

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications:

3+ years of industrial maintenance in multi-craft environment

OR

3+ years high tech maintenance related military experience

OR

Completed program & 2 year industrial maintenance experience

OR

Associates Degree in Electronics, General Technology, Robotics, or related field.

Candidate must also possess general computer skills, PLC experience, & presentation skills.
