The Opportunity:

Join NAVSEA 03S as a Software Tester for the Navy Maintenance and Modernization Enterprise Solution (NMMES). In this role you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software systems supporting naval ship and submarine maintenance operations.

You will provide End to End Systems Test support for complex software serving over 45,000 users across global Navy facilities, including Navy Shipyards and Intermediate Maintenance Facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide End to End Systems Test support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.

  • Ensure the test design and documentation support all applicable client, agency or industry standards timelines and budget.

  • Ensure testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results, and project managers are fully informed of testing status and application deviations from documented user requirements.

  • Evaluate work items based on operational impact and document defects found during testing using Azure DevOps to capture findings.

  • Reviews user application system requirements documentation; designs, defines, and documents application test plans; transforms test plans into test scripts and executes those scripts via Azure DevOps.

  • Engage well within an Agile Scrum Team with software developers, requirements analysts, end users and other stakeholders to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for the Systems Test Events using Scaled Agile methodology.

  • Develop and modify test cases for Manual and Automated testing.

  • Perform test case execution for multiple MSE applications within Azure DevOps SDLC tool.

  • Communicate issues/impediments that impact Sprint commitments.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Willing and able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Current and Active Secret Clearance preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree (will consider experience in lieu of degree)

  • 3 or more years of manual or automated testing, software development or related system experience.

  • Proficient with MS Office products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and implementing testing strategy, plan, and processes in an environment with a mix of enterprise, SAP, and custom applications.

  • Willing and able to work onsite in Norfolk, VA

  • Automated Test development experience.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with different audiences.

  • Testing in a cloud environment

  • Azure DevOps experience

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$57,500-$117,900
