Amentum Navy Combat Systems MAI Analyst in Norfolk, Virginia

If you are looking to use your Navy maintenance and administrative skills to support the world’s finest Navy, Amentum may have the full-time position you are looking for. We have an immediate opening to provide support to our Master Assessment Index (MAI) program customer. This position is located at our Norfolk, VA office.

The Assessment Analyst will be assigned to the Master Assessment Index Team and be responsible for data collection from various Navy websites, configuration and 3M validation, quality assurance, data analysis, and preparation of assessment agendas in support of the Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA) Program.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Must have strong multitasking and organizational skills, be able to perform detail-oriented tasks, and work independently or in a team environment

  • Understand the organization's business process and goals

  • Writing and analysis, utilizing computers including the Microsoft Office Suite, using Excel and Access applications for data entry, analysis, and report generation

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma and 6 years of navy-related maintenance experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of navy-related maintenance experience, or an Associate’s Degree and 4 years of navy-related maintenance experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with naval maintenance personnel

  • Experience with Navy 3M, Navy Supply System, and ships' configuration

  • Four (4) years experience in HM&E or C5I equipment maintenance

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.

Preferred Experience:

  • Five (5) years experience as a Departmental or Command 3MC. Familiar with the Navy 3M system and ships' configuration as it applies to the validation of shipboard equipment

  • Five (5) years of experience in either HM&E or Combat Systems equipment in maintenance, repair, and assessment

  • An understanding of the Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA) Program, Maintenance and Ship Work Planning (M&SWP), and the Intermediate Class Maintenance Plan (ICMP)

  • Understand the following command structures: Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific/Atlantic (CNSP/CNSL), Commander Naval Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC), and Surface Maintenance Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP)

  • Understanding of Readiness Risk and familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and how it applies to maintenance is a plus
