Actalent Medical Assistant - Family Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia

Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for triaging incoming patients by obtaining vital signs, identifying chief complaints, reconciling medication lists and allergies, assessing smoking status, and preparing patients for their visits. You will also prepare exam rooms, restock clinical areas, sterilize instruments, maintain medical equipment, and document interventions in the electronic medical record. Your duties will include reviewing charts for completeness, obtaining medical records from various healthcare facilities before patient visits, and completing all assigned tasks efficiently. Additionally, you will participate in administering patient satisfaction surveys, contacting patients to assess medical status, and ensuring adherence to medical protocols. You will also be required to maintain certifications and fill in for other clinical staff as needed.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 720 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Norfolk, Virginia.

Work Environment

Shift Details: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break
