WR Systems Logistics Coordinator, Lead in Norfolk, Virginia

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance is required to start

Travel Requirements : Negligible

Location: Norfolk, VA

SUMMARY : WR has an opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator, Lead to be responsible for logistics functions and tracking information for government property including sourcing and procurement, following government property policies/rules as well as WR's Logistics QMS processes.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

· Work with vendors to obtain quotes, submitting purchase requisitions, significant amount of database and tracking of repair assets, providing spreadsheet reports, and answering data calls.

· Estimate and proactively manage project-related workload requirements.

· Establish and maintain hard copies and electronic property record files.

· Perform research and find resolution to inventory discrepancies, and utilize federal stock system research programs to establish manufacturer, part number, national stock number, etc., and develop an understanding of customer's logistics requirements.

· May lead and direct tasks assigned to junior personnel.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

· High school diploma or GED equivalent.

· Minimum of six (6) years of experience with Department of Defense (DoD) government property logistics functions.

· Current Professional Logistics Certification preferred.

· Proficient with MS Office products, specifically Excel.

· Experience with government property/material management & tracking.

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

· Must have the ability to do the following:

o Be flexible with changing priorities in a fast paced environment.

o Have strong attention to detail, be organized, and have the ability to meet deadlines.

o Be a good communicator, both verbally and written, to both project managers and co-workers.

o Identify and solve problems in concise and practical ways.

o Interact appropriately with colleagues, management, customers, and vendors for different purposes and in different contexts.

o Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
