What Product Test & Calibration contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.

Shift Details: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM CST
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience in related field preferred
Understanding of FDA regulations surrounding the manufacturing of medical devices, and GMPs preferred
Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools preferred
Responsibilities
Calibrate process instrumentation and gauges to ensure compliance – calibration activities include inspection, testing, adjusting, and repair of process controllers and gauges
Use electronic test equipment and calibration standards to determine condition of instrumentation, diagnose problems with instruments or gauges falling outside calibration limits and repair or adjust as needed – maintain calibration documents
Work with manufacturing engineers to determine which process instruments or gauges require calibration, the calibration frequency, and which method of calibration should be used
Communicate with equipment vendors or manufacturers to correct problems with instruments or determine proper method of repair or adjustment
Comply with statutory responsibility under the national/federal regulations - take reasonable care of your own health, safety and welfare along with teammates that may be affected by your acts at work
Follow established EH&S procedures and policies and encourage teammates to follow them
Participate in EH&S activities such as: root cause analysis, finding solutions, implementing improvements, inspections, and meetings
Complete and remain up to date on required EH&S training
Follow all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA and plant/corporate standards, policies, and procedures
Observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed
Report all safety incidents, hazards, and potential unsafe working conditions
Work overtime as required

May have team leader responsibilities but does not formally supervise
Anticipated hourly range: $30.70 per hour - $45.80 per hour (Includes Shift Differential)
