OGS-Steering is leading in development, production and sales of hydraulic and electro-hydraulic power steering units for safety critical applications in agriculture, construction, material handling and lawn & turf. We have a global manufacturing footprint and a dominant position in most of our markets.
Job Responsibilities
Defining and implementing next generation of Electro-hydraulic power steering units
As part of our business strategy, we have decided for a transformation, defining and implementing next generation of electro-hydraulic power steering units. The project is a key enabler to help our current customers meet future legislation changes on functional safety and cyber security and strengthen our position as preferred supplier for electro-hydraulic solutions globally.
As the project manager you will lead a multi-functional project team consisting of talented innovative, motivated and hard-working engineers - keeping focus on successful implementation. This is your unique opportunity to influence the future Steering business. From your position in Nordborg, Denmark, you will bring positive energy and the ability to lead in a matrix organisation - in return you will be given the opportunity to develop, both personally and professionally. You will work in a global, flexible and rapidly developing organisation, and your main responsibilities will include:
Responsibility for the business case including deliverables, time and budget
Ensuring alignment between market needs, product design and operations
Building and leading the multi-functional project team
Building bridges and ensuring good collaboration between local and remote teams
Stakeholder and communication management
Contribute to building a strong PMO foundation
Background & Skills
Outstanding communications skills and the ability to influence and lead
To be successful in this position, you need highly developed networking capabilities. You create cooperative and productive working relationships, and your strong, open-minded communication skills empower you to participate effectively as a team facilitator, also towards critical stakeholders, being on their home ground. You need to be willing and capable of finding solutions between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests, and this way you ensure common direction and active involvement.
Experienced project manager with ambition and resilience
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering and solid experience within different project management methodologies, e.g. agile and scrum project management. You have several years of experience in leading cross-functional project teams and experience with product development from similar industries, ideally within hardware and embedded software domains.
You respond positively and support changes, and you are highly motivated and self-driven. You demonstrate personal flexibility in both approach and ideas, and finally, you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
As part of your role, you need to expect travel up to 30 days per year
