PruittHealth Assistant Receiving Lead – Warehouse Operations in NORCROSS, Georgia

JOB PURPOSE:

The Assistant Receiving Lead, is responsible for leading the personnel and activities related to the receiving of all goods into the warehouse to ensure client’s service levels and quality expectations are met. He or she must be able to effectively manage all the inbound shipments and organize the work for a team of receiving clerks. The individual will be a proactive, detail-oriented assistant to the warehouse lead who is committed to managing a process driven operation and providing exceptional service to internal and external customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise a team of up to 5 receiving clerks

• Manage daily activities related to receiving inbound shipments –, record keeping, reporting and tracking

• Communicate effectively with internal employees, carriers and clients

• Develop and implement a process to organize and prioritize the team’s overall workload

• Become a subject matter expert in all areas related to receiving and inventory control

• Ensure all required information is documented and forms are completed when goods are received in

• Comply with all established safety policies and procedures; promote and maintain safety awareness and identify and resolve potential safety issues

• Train and mentor receiving clerks on established process and inventory management best practices

• Work with Receiving lead to establish and promote quality process improvements

• Own additional projects and tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Leader

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment or supply chain logistics – inventory management background preferred

• 2+ years of material handling experience (stand on forklift/reach truck)

• 1+ supervisory experience with warehouse employees in a distribution center

• Strong understanding of all warehouse processes and their connection to a WMS

• Excellent project management skills

• Ability to use systems and technology to multi-task, manage time and create efficiencies

• Proficient with computers and programs including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

• Demonstrated sense of urgency to handle situations with priority

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven track record of creating and implementing process improvements

• Highly detailed oriented with critical focus on warehouse organization

• Needs to work successfully in team environment and independently with minimal supervision

• Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed to meet business needs

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• Shipping: 1 year (Preferred)

• Warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)

• Receiving: 1 year (Preferred)
