Primary Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain Java applications across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Develop, test, implement, and maintain application software following established processes
Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA to ensure seamless integration and delivery
Establish, refine, and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed
Identify and troubleshoot production and non-production application issues
Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of Java-developed projects
Provide technical support and consultation for Java application and infrastructure-related queries
Serve as a mentor to less experienced developers
Execute projects using Agile methodologies
Envision overall solutions for defined functional and non-functional requirements and define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize them
Design and develop the system framework and clearly explain design choices
Create and review design documents explaining overall architecture, framework, and high-level design of applications
Create, understand, and validate design and estimated effort for given modules/tasks and justify them
Define in-scope, out-of-scope, and assumptions while creating effort estimates
Identify and integrate well overall integration points within the context of a project and other applications in the environment
Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or Information Technology
Primary Skill: Previous experience working as a React.JS Developer
Experience with user interface design
Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages
Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux
Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest
Proven excellent troubleshooting skills
Secondary Skill: Experience with Java or Spring Boot
Experience in designing and implementing Java applications
Good understanding of Java programming and Spring Boot framework
Knowledge of the SDLC process and Agile methodologies
General understanding of IT security concepts as they relate to production environments
Proven ability to address issues and understand solutions in code walkthroughs and design reviews
Good understanding of DevOps and tools like Jenkins
Proven good project management skills
