JOB OVERVIEW
As a Procurement Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery. This role demands a combination of strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the market and industry trends.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for goods and services.
Research and identify qualified suppliers.
Request for quotations (RFQs) and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
Prepare and issue purchase orders. Track and monitor order status and delivery performance. Manage supplier relationships.
Resolve supplier issues and discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate procurement records.
Analyse procurement data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
ABOUT YOU
Strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
Experience with procurement software a plus.
