Trane Technologies has an exciting new opportunity to join our organization as a Key Account Manager, National Accounts . This role supports Helmer Scientific, part of Trane Technologies Life Sciences Portfolio. Helmer Scientific designs, integrates, manufactures, markets, and distributes specialized medical and laboratory equipment to clinical and life science customers in over 125 countries, as well as providing after-market service and support. This position will be the main contact for select IDN/GPO customers. The role of this position is to act as the executive sales leader for their accounts, owning top tier relationships, building knowledge, and understanding the account’s strategy, communicating account needs and opportunities to the broader organization, and driving growth to meet sales targets. This position will also be the primary business development driver for IDNs with regional and national scope and will interface with select GPOs to drive programs. The successful candidate will develop strategic plans for assigned IDNs and GPOs, negotiate and monitor agreements, facilitate necessary training and regulatory support, and drive growth strategies.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as Remote and will work with select accounts in the United States.

What you will do:

  • Lead the process to significantly grow sales in key accounts. Collaborate with sales leadership and regional sales teams to create compelling and effective strategic business plans both locally and globally. Hold themselves and local sales teams accountable.

  • Develop innovative strategies to partner internally and externally to drive core business growth.

  • Lead strategic account reviews internally with sales leadership and business leaders at Trane to ensure financial targets are achieved. Collaborates internally and externally to drive global channel strategy, resolve channel conflicts, and manage channel partners. Partners with business leaders, sales management and marketing on program development and execution.

  • Utilize business development process to identify and drive entirely new opportunities for Trane Life Sciences.

  • Responsible for ensuring account stakeholders are trained on the products including technical features, unique value propositions, programs and processes needed to drive sales.

  • Regular travel required to optimize facetime with key customer stakeholders. Up to 50%

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Business, science, or technology field preferred

  • A minimum of 8 years of business development and solution sales experience required. Sales experience in hospital laboratories, pharmacies and management of channel partners preferred.

  • Indirect and direct sales leadership experience preferred.

  • Established experience developing and maintaining executive relationships that produce growth.

  • Deep understanding of healthcare landscape, Group Purchasing Organizations, and healthcare drivers.

  • Proven experience achieving high-level sales results, negotiating broad multi-faceted contracts, and converting pipeline to bookings.

Key Competencies:

  • Applied use of disciplined strategic account sales processes and demonstrated success in penetrating new, complex accounts. Ability to accurately forecast future opportunities.

  • Strategic Planning: Establishes growth plans for each product/market, communicates and manages the plan with each partner. Manages pipeline expectations and forecasts.

  • Strong negotiation skills and business acumen effectively manages customer and distribution agreements, pricing negotiations, contract terms, channel conflicts appropriately.

  • Demonstrates flexibility in being open to change and new information; adapts behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles. Adjusts rapidly to new situations warranting attention and resolution.

Compensation:

Total Target Compensation: $150,000 - $244,000 inclusive of base and sales and service incentive

Total Target Cash represents a mix of fixed base salary plus payment from sales commissions. Sales commissions plans are uncapped plans.
