Grand View Lodge Resort Cook (I, II, III) in Nisswa, Minnesota
Cook (I, II, III). Cote Family Companies Inc. d/b/a Grand View Lodge, Spa & Golf Resort (Nisswa, MN). 14 openings. Temporary, F/T job from 04/01/2025 10/31/2025. Min. 35 hours/week. Shifts: 7am-3pm, 9am-5pm, 4pm-12am. (5 rotating days including weekends). Duties: Prepare, season, and cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts in restaurants. Maintain clean kitchen and dishes and follows all food safety requirements. Demonstrates food presentation, quality, and consistency. Work well with others. Maintain personal hygiene, communicate with supervisors and coworkers. Equipped for service on time. May supervise others. Requirements: One (1) year of culinary experience at a high volume or high-end resort or club required. Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for 6-9 hours at a time, lift to 50 pounds, climb stairs, reach and bend. Ability to read basic chemical labels and write in complete sentences in submitting reports and assessments. Rate of Pay: $16.63 - $19.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Overtime available at $24.95 - $28.50 per hour. For full list of benefits, please contact HR. A single work week will be used to compute wages. Wages paid bi-weekly by direct deposit. Employer will reimburse H-2B worker in 1st pay period for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees). Air transport to place of employment will be provided at no cost to worker (air travel paid upfront); Ground expenses & subsistence costs will be reimbursed to worker during 1st pay period. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 day during travel to a max $59.00/day w/receipts. If worker does not complete at least 1/2 of employment period worker is expected to refund employer. Return transport will be provided if worker completes employment period or is dismissed early. Employer will provide at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform job. Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least 3/4 of workdays in each 12-week period of total employment. Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Housing includes AC in each unit, free laundry, free Wi-Fi, utilities and meals. Cost of housing, if accepted, is approximately $140.00 biweekly or $280.00 per month. If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A weekly $10.00 refundable security deposit will be deducted from paycheck. All deductions from worker s paycheck required by law will be made. Bicycles provided for daily transportation to worksite, shuttles provided for bad weather.
