We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Supplier Management Engineer within our Purchasing team to help support our Hydrolic business. Over the last 45 years, PHC has built a reputation as a world-class hydraulic cylinder manufacturer through our superior quality control and innovation. PHC is a leading supplier of hydraulic cylinders for material handling, construction, agriculture, and transportation markets. If you join our team, your work will ensure customers across the world have high-quality products they can use to keep their businesses running.
As a Supplier Management Engineer you will have the opportunity to lead/support supplier certification processes.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead/support supplier certification processes.
Support the search and selection of suppliers for new components (and spare parts), ensuring they meet company standards.
Ensure that suppliers understand and comply with company requirements, drawings, and specifications and adhere to industry regulations and company standards
Provide ongoing technical support and clarification to suppliers as needed.
Assist suppliers in developing and maintaining robust quality control processes including continuous improvement.
Perform audits of supplier facilities and processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Provide technical expertise and support to the purchasing team to ensure informed decision-making.
Support quality management activities and inspections for purchasing, ensuring components meet quality standards.
Facilitate and support effective communication and collaboration between suppliers and internal teams.
