LSP USA, LLC Supervisor/Team Leader of Control Team in Niles, Ohio

LSP USA is an R & D oriented engineering  company, specializing in the development, installation, engineering maintenance, sales, and servicing of factory automation equipment and software, leveraging advanced monitoring, real-time process control, and data analysis techniques to ensure seamless operation and optimization of automated factory processes. 

LSP USA is seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor/Team Leader of Control Team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supervising the development, implementation, and maintenance of advanced factory automation systems, ensuring alignment with client specifications and operational excellence through cutting-edge machine vision technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, machine vision technologies, and team leadership, with proven expertise in optimizing production processes and troubleshooting complex automation challenges.

 

Job Description:

 

  • Working under general direction of Manager of Control Team, analyze customer's production process and service needs to formulate automation control task lists and assign tasks to subordinate employees
  • Lead and supervise Control Team, ensuring alignment with project requirements and client expectations while supervising the performance of subordinate engineers and technicians;
  • Supervise the planning, development, and implementation of factory automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMI interfaces, and machine vision technologies, ensuring designs meet technical specifications and comply with industrial standards for precision and reliability;
  • Supervise automation control projects and assign tasks, including machine vision calibration, precision diagnostic equipment testing, root cause analysis, and performance validation using real-time data analytics;
  • Identify and analyze the origins of problems, and prepare automation control functioning reports and upgrade/repair plans;
  • Develop and implement advanced automation strategies, integrating predictive maintenance tools, and real-time monitoring to enhance production efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve product quality.
  • Supervise scheduled inspections and predictive maintenance of automation components, including robotic systems, motion controllers, and vision sensors, ensuring timely repairs, component upgrades, and alignment with operational goals;
  • Consult with customer companies' engineers and technicians to provide expert guidance on control systems, machine vision setup, and software configurations;
  • Coordinate and supervise onsite technical support to corporate customers, deploying advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to address system inefficiencies, machine vision inaccuracies, or automation malfunctions;
  • Train and supervise newly hired subordinate engineers and technicians; and
  • Evaluate performance of subordinate engineers and technicians, and recommend personnel actions to Control Team Manager and upper management.

     

Qualifications & Skills

  • Extensive experience in factory automation systems, including design, programming, and implementation of PLCs, SCADA, HMI interfaces, robotics, and machine vision technologies.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities with expertise in root cause analysis, real-time data analytics, and performance optimization for automated systems.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and supervise a teams of engineers and technicians, with a focus on collaboration, performance evaluation, and task delegation.
  • Solid track record of managing/supervising complex factory automation projects.
