Job Overview: Linde is looking for qualified applicants to fill the role of Maintenance Technician for the hydrogen and air separation processes at our Niagara Falls, NY facility. The Maintenance Technician must demonstrate initiative in handling issues, be self-motivated, dependable, and work within a team environment. Join us in driving excellence and ensuring the success of our operations. Shift: Monday-Friday dayshift 07: 00-15: 30 with overtime and on-call responsibilities as needed to support operations. Primary Responsibilities: - Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical equipment and systems. - Follow SMP/SOPs within an ISO/QA/PSM/RMP site - Disassembly/assembly of rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, etc. to repair/replace bearings, gears, seals, structural components and the like. - Ability to read and understand blueprints, process drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. - Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems. - Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves, and ability to perform equipment alignments. - Utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), plan and execute maintenance activities including procurement of parts, supervision of maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow up required documentation. - Complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems. - Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities. - Manage inventory of critical spares for mechanical systems - Plan, schedule, estimate costs, coordinate and perform maintenance activities for site outages - Support root cause analysis program for routine and/or major failures of mechanical systems - Contribute to mechanical and process reliability as needed. - Ability to facilitate contractor management to ensure safe and efficient completion of maintenance activities. - Candidate will be required to perform work outdoors in variable weather conditions, and at elevated heights or confined spaces. Qualifications: - High School education, Associates degree a plus. - Journeyman millwright/machinist experience preferred - 5 years experience in an industrial production environment - Excellent computer skills required. - Welding and HVAC experience a plus. - Functional in systems up to 480V preferred - On-Call ability required within 24/7 operation environment. Plant emergencies, outages, shutdowns, and turnaround work may require working outside of the normal Monday thru Friday schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
