POSITION TITLE: Environmental TechnicianDEPARTMENT: Technical ServicesLOCATION: Niagara Falls, New YorkJOB NUMBER: 2024-AFALLS-01SALARY RANGE: $18 - $30 per hour DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor looking for an Environmental Technician to support our projects Niagara Falls, New York. Some overtime is required as well as the ability to travel occasionally. The daily work will include:•Groundwater sampling•Laboratory analysis•Operation of wastewater treatment systems•Some heavy lifting and ability to work in hot and cold environmentsSKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Previous experience in groundwater sampling methods (i.e., low flow sampling, etc.) and chain of custody management is required. Other job requirements include: •Experience in laboratory techniques and/or water treatment system operation is preferred•Must be reliable, organized, and self-motivated•Possess strong mechanical and problem-solving skills•HAZWOPER certificate a plus•Must have a valid driver’s licenseSALARY/BENEFITS:An employee’s salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
