PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Industry Business Unit for the Public Sector (IBU PS) is a global organizational unit helping all levels of government to maximize public value. SAP for Public Sector solutions enable governments to optimize limited resources in public administration across a wide range of government functions, from accounting and procurement to case management, and from taxation to social services.

We are seeking a Tax & Revenue Specialist to join our global team to lead go-to-market activities, engage with senior government customers, and contribute to thought leadership. With growing market demand in North America and Latin America, the ideal candidate will be based in the US or Canada.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Support go-to-market for SAP Tax & Revenue Management and related industry solutions

  • Support IBU engagement with nominated Focus Accounts, including SAPs Executive Value Network for Tax

  • Contribute to thought leadership around emerging trends in Tax & Revenue and contemporary technology responses

  • Supporting the Industry Business Solutions management in terms of creating multi-year Market, Solution and Commercialization strategies

  • Assist the Industry Business Unit management in raising market awareness and demand for our Industry / LoB Value Proposition and Solution Offering

  • Develop and cascade standard content which enables Sales and Sales Support teams to take our Value Proposition to Customers

  • Assist the Industry Business Solutions team in incubating new Industry/LoB solutions and new markets, and support Strategic Deals and Customer co-innovation

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree, ideally majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in enterprise software, ideally in business development or sales-related areas

  • Experience engaging with government customers, ideally in relation to Tax & Revenue solutions

  • Experience with SAP Tax & Revenue Management and/or other SAP industry solutions (desirable)

  • Experience supporting business development and/or presales activities with government prospects (desirable)

  • Business fluency in English required
