Bright Horizons Director, Grant Strategy & Execution in Newton, Massachusetts
The Director, Grant Strategy and Execution will oversee all partnership efforts with public entities to deliver center-based childcare and will supervise a team that owns the end-to-end process, from vetting potential opportunities through ongoing monitoring and reporting of existing partnerships.

What you will be doing:
Strategy & Planning
Set overall strategy for grant management, determining opportunities relevant for Bright Horizons
Own and evolve process/playbook for assessing, applying, and reporting on opportunities
Lead regular updates with Senior Leaders on progress and opportunities
Oversee business case development and financial modeling
As needed, partner with external advisors to influence governmental policies to bring additional awareness and funding to the childcare industry
Execution
Oversee efforts to apply for grants
Partner with field operations to ensure any opportunities being executed at local level are following established playbook
Create consistent reporting
Monitor compliance with all grant requirements
Report results vs. established goals
Team Management + Partnerships
Directly manage and coach team
Partner with Field Operations, Finance, Client Relations and other home team departments to further department goals
Demonstrate and implement an inclusive environment with all constituents.
What we hope you will bring to the role:
Bachelor's Degree
10 years as leadership experience in field operations or client relations - Required
Understanding of childcare space and funding opportunities, typically acquired through 10+ years of leadership experience in field operations or client relations
7+ years of direct management experience
Ability to both be in the detail and also step back and provide overall program management
Proficiency developing business cases and financial models, and using them to obtain buy-in from senior leadership
Expected to be a player/coach -- oversee a team while also being in the detail and directly managing opportunities as needed
Sense of urgency, with bias toward action
