Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Newton, Kansas

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are in search of a Maintenance Technician who is experienced in either electrical- PLC, running conduit, etc. or with strong fabrication skills. The ideal candidate will have both electrical and mechanical experience. This is a 1st shift position with scheduled hours from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Flexibility for occasional work outside these hours is required. The role demands a self-starter who is capable of working with little supervision and performing all aspects of maintenance. The candidate must be motivated, diligent, and proactive in identifying and communicating potential issues. The technician will be using boom and scissor lifts at heights up to 40’, and lifting up to 50 lbs. when necessary. Adherence to the company's PPE program is a must.

Hard Skills

  • 3+ Years of Experience in Maintenance and/or Electrical

  • PLC's, Pneumatics and Hydraulics Experience

  • 480 Volt Knowledge

  • Industrial Maintenance Experience

  • Fabrication/Welding Skills

  • Experience operating lifts and forklift

  • Knowledge of PPE program

Soft Skills

  • Self-Starter

  • Capable of working with little supervision

  • Good attitude and attendance

  • Motivated

  • Proactive in identifying and communicating potential issues

  • Dependable

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Newton, Kansas.

Work Environment

Production Facility- The chosen candidate will be working in a production facility that manufactures foam products used in other items such as boats, carpet, seat pads, etc.
