Newton Community School District is looking for Substitute Teachers! Full day or half day shifts available. We use an online system where you can pick the jobs to match your availability.POSITION: Substitute TeacherLOCATIONS: All school buildings in the Newton Community School District2024-2025 Substitute Teacher Pay Rates:
Base Rate: Hourly: $20
8 Hour Day: $160
4 hour Day: $80
Long Term Rate begins on Day 21 of a consecutive day assignment for the same classroom - $24.86/hour. (This requires a Teacher or Substitute License.)
Requirements: Current Iowa licensure (Teacher/Substitute License/Substitute Authorization) required. https://boee.iowa.gov/
The following additional requirements are needed to complete the application:
Copy of your Iowa Teaching License
Copy of both Iowa Mandatory Reporter: Child Abuseand Dependent Adult Abuse certificates
