Job Brief
Material Coordinator to support contract in NUWC Newport
GVI, a TSB subsidiary and a Federal Contracting leader is look for a Material Coordinator to join our team in Newport, RI.
Position Overview:
- Conduct material inventory (using Navy ERP), regularly interface with customers to assist them with theirmaterial requirements, respond to their inquiries, and resolve material issues. Conduct material researchusing various systems/databases. May be required to lead a group of personnel and be responsible forthat groups performance.
Responsibilities:
Regularly communicate with customers and resolve inventory and material issues
Generate reports/documentations on inventory status
Perform transactions in Navy ERP
Receive/store and keep track of materials locations, quantity, and condition
Review receipt documents for accuracy
Provides status reports/metrics and participate in production status meetings as needed
Maintain accountability of materials from procurement, storage, issue, and disposal
Regularly review/update N-ERP, and perform all required transactions to maintain accountability
Generate DD-1149s, DD-1348s
Conduct material research, report/resolve/track frustrated materials
Requirements:
US Citizen
Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one
HS graduate (Associate Degree prefered) – applicable related experience may be substituted for education
Valid U.S. Driver’s License
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Proficient with (N-ERP) or ability to learn the system quickly
Forklift operator's license or ability to obtain one
Able to frequently lift 50 lbs
