Additionally, they also focus on preserving native plants and ensuring sustainable timber harvesting.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an intern in this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience assisting park staff in various projects while gaining experience in park operations, resource management, administration, and environmental education. Plus, you will have the opportunity to participate in educational workshops and tours. It's a unique chance to learn and contribute to the world of forestry!

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/2024 through 8/30/2024. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Some nights and weekends may be required. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree, or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable Majors: Environmental Studies Biology Geology An approved major course of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable. Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) Freshman year completed Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
