DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Park Resource Ranger, under the supervision of the Park Manager, is responsible for performing a variety of public safety and visitor services. These duties are designed to protect park visitors, park facilities, and provide public contact within the Little Buffalo State Park.

Your main responsibility is to engage with visitors at Little Buffalo State Park and provide information about park facilities, recreational schedules, park history, environmental features, and the surrounding area. Some of the duties will be to collect revenue, ensure compliance with park rules and regulations, and patrol the park using different modes of transportation such as motorized vehicles, bicycles, and on foot.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Seasonal Full-time employment without benefits.

This position works weekends from March thru November.

Due to 24/7 operations, candidate will work weekends, holidays, and all shifts as directed by Management at 37.5 hours/week.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: No minimum experience and training required. Special Requirement: All positions require possession of an active motor vehicle license. All employees must obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment.

Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance. You must pass a background investigation.

In accordance with Act 153 of 2014, this position is required to complete Child Abuse, Criminal and Federal Criminal History Checks around the time of hire and thereafter every 5 years.
