TEKsystems Robotics Integration Manager/ Project Manager in Newport News, Virginia

Description:

The Integration Manager is responsible for the direct-management-to-completion of all on-site Commissioning, Integration, and Testing for the assigned project(s). The Integration Manager works directly with the assigned Software & Controls Project Manager, synchronizing on overall system design and strategy throughout the project lifecycle. On lower-complexity projects, the Integration Manager may take a more active role with Sales, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Project & Site Management, Software, Controls, as well as our vendor teams to ensure homogenization on system design, development, and implementation to deliver an on-time, highly-efficient, and high-quality project solution. Must Haves • Experience in installation of servers, configuration of networks & switches, and completion of testing & validation at client sites • Sound application knowledge of automated material handling equipment such as AS/RS, pallet and case conveyors, sorters, AGV’s, monorails, WMS's, PLC's, and KUKA robots. • Solid understanding of information systems and engineering theory and the project life cycle for material handling systems. • Solid systems integrations experience within the robotics/warehouse automation industry • Understanding of PLC programming • Supervise and coordinate the installation and assembly work of all equipment and products delivered as part of scope of supply for the customer and ensure successful claim management for time and money is implemented and maintained • Coordinate, review and sign-off the functional acceptance tests, integration tests and finally, the throughput tests of the overall system and confirm with acceptance reports signed by the subcontractor, Swisslog and the Customer. Core responsibilities- • Consulting in the production of subsystem-to-subsystem interfacing documentation (low and high-level). • Consulting during the phase of engineering and detailed design. • (As required) Participation and consulting for any project FATs (factory acceptance testing) that involve critical equipment and/or new technologies. • Create, reach agreement, and execute a Commissioning, Integration, and Testing plans. • Management of on-site commissioning and integration resources and activities, submitting periodic (daily, weekly, and/or monthly) integration reports, whilst driving the integration punch list. • Coordination and execution of system acceptance testing with internal teams and customers. • Consulting and on-site management (as needed) during customer ramp-up leading to FAC (final acceptance), including the execution of any required FAC testing. • Ability to close out robotics implementation processes with clients. Additional Skills & Qualifications • MS Project experience. • Excellent leadership and organizational skills capable of managing more than one project of varying size and complexity • Good integration skills for the management and control of a number of separate sub-systems within a project • Minimum of 4+ years of project management experience. Primary experience preferably within automated material handling and logistics applications. • Knowledge of PMBOK practices for project management
