ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

Actalent is looking for a full-time Assistant Superintendent to support our client, one of the top general contractors in the Hampton Roads. They're working on an on-site schedule, 5 days a week.

Job Responsibilities

Our client, one of the top general contractors in the Hampton Roads is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join their team at the Newport News Shipyard. This project will be one of many that the right person will be a part of but will consist of a complete build for a ship garage. Excellent listening and verbal and written communication is a must have as well as 2+ years as an assistant superintendent with a general contractor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Oversee and help manage other staff members on project

• 2+ years as assistant superintendent for general contractor

• Federal experience a nice to have but not required

• Help manage and coordinate all trades partners and subcontractor

• Any experience on projects in the $10 M- $20 M range is plus candidate

• Ability to read and understand technical specifications and architectural drawings

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam and various scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, Phoenix)

• Experience with Building Information Modeling - BIM

• Excellent listening skills and strong verbal and written communication skills

• Active participant in a team environment
