THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Senior Analyst, Project Management and Research and Development, you will work with cross-functional teams to track the progress of projects that require Food Safety involvement/oversight while ensuring adherence to Food Safety's SOP. Working closely with category managers from all functions, timelines and resources will be summarized and communicated to leadership for prioritization according to business needs. Project timelines and priority will then be used to coordinate FSQA R&D-specific evaluations and showcases in partnership with the R&D team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support the efforts of the enterprise in identifying, developing, evaluating, and improving project management methods and processes that are both efficient and effective

  • Ensure FSQA subscribes to the enterprise's project management processes while adhering to the Food Safety-specific SOP

  • Manage a database of all information related to current and closed projects involving Food Safety

  • Prepare reports/dashboards containing quantitative and qualitative data that will advise leadership and stakeholders of the status, dependencies, and opportunities of each project while speaking to Food Safety project progress at weekly meetings as needed

  • Tactically manage day-to-day project execution with special attention to FSQA and R&D-specific tasks; this includes organization of daily R&D evaluations according to timelines

  • Develop weekly R&D to-do lists in accordance with project tracking timelines

  • Assist in the assessment of level of effort, dependencies, and priority impact on all departments during initial planning phase

  • Follow up with individuals as needed to ensure completion of project-related tasks/dependencies

  • Assist in planning FSQA initiatives to ensure the successful intake of rollouts and changes

  • In coordination with Supply Chain, Marketing, &/or Ops category managers, design work allocation and resolve problems/risks with potential project impacts

  • Manage Chipotle's Nutrition & Allergen program

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, or related field.

  • 3-5 years work experience in the food industry with an emphasis on food science, food safety, research & development, or food manufacturing.

  • PMP certification preferred.

  • Possess a strong understanding of Food Science principles and food preparation techniques

  • Be able to perform frequent QA and sensory evaluations on a variety of foods including highly spicy foods, animal proteins, and foods with potential allergens including but not limited to milk, eggs, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, wheat and gluten, sulfites, sesame seeds and mustard

  • Be able to manage various, simultaneous projects involving Food Safety that are complex in nature

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with solid listening, facilitation, and presentation skills

  • Be a critical thinker with strong analytical skills and the capability to collect and clearly analyze data and report research results

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

  • Able to travel on occasion by air and able to drive own vehicle to Newport area restaurants, distribution centers, and suppliers

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $84,000 - $117,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
