As a Human Resources Manager, you will have the opportunity to implement and coordinate policies and programs covering recruitment, employment, compensation, benefits, employee and/or labor relations, organization development, training, EEO and special projects. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by coordinating with the company's policies and management functions to foster a robust and safety-focused culture throughout the company.

So, what will you be doing as a Human Resources Manager?

  • Work closely with Plant Managers and Supervisors to recruit and ensure staffing levels remain optimal.
  • Screen and interview applicants
  • Employment eligibility verification
  • Prepare labor reports and turnover reports as needed
  • Implement and comply with Affirmative Action Requirements
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to ensure good employee relations
  • Assist supervisors in dealing with employee performance problems by providing guidance in the disciplinary process
  • Maintain employee personnel files. Ensure confidential documentation is retained

To be successful in this role, youll need:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related discipline
  • Strong math and English (verbal and written) and computer skills. Experience in Human Resources Information Systems, spreadsheet and word processing applications preferred
  • Cooperative and good interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding time management skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate multiple assignments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees. Ability to effectively handle employee relation issues
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to conduct an effective meeting by developing and following an agenda

Things we consider a plus:

  • Previous experience managing a Human Resources department preferred
  • Previous managerial or supervisory skills preferred
  • Working knowledge/experience in developing a respectful work environment
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, human relations skills, and interpersonal skills
