At The Arc Wayne of Newark, NY, we are currently hiring a full-time Maintenance Person to perform , general maintenance, and building upkeep of The Arc Wayne properties.

Maintenance Person Responsibilities:
Diagnoses problems and performs general repairs and maintenance on The Arc Wayne properties to include, but not limited to, painting, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.
Performs painting (interior and exterior) and cleaning as required.
Serves as backup for other agency maintenance team members and assists in emergency situations as required. This can include accepting emergency calls during off hours.
Assists with projects as deemed appropriate, including light janitorial duties, landscape maintenance, snow removal, and emergency movement of people and/or furniture within The Arc Wayne.
Conducts periodic inspections of all safety equipment to ensure they are in working order and assist in training staff in safety processes and procedures.
Assists in the development and implementation of Agency Preventative Maintenance Program and maintains adequate records to efficiently implement PM Program.
Maintains an inventory of agency tools and supplies and maintains a tool sign-out log book.
Assists with overseeing maintenance systems and operations, including but not limited to maintaining the work order tracking system.
Other duties as assigned
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8am-4pm) with flexibility for agency's needs

Maintenance Person Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent or relevant experience in general maintenance to include painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have available a personal reliable vehicle.
Must possess a current, valid NYS driver's license.
