Summary:
Entry-level position to assist the POS & Fare Collection Department to ensure maximum equipment uptime, customer experience, and department administrative support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Able to perform administrative duties: such as manage P-Card, travel request, etc.
Monitor and support daily all fare collection equipment TVMs, TOMS and Validators using Vendor monitoring tool.
Perform site inspection of Fare Collection Equipment at all three light rails, bus and rail locations.
Work with vendor to troubleshoot issues with TVMs, TOMs and Validator.
Assist with fare increase and software testing on TVMS and TOMs.
Assist vendor with removals and relocations of TVMs/TOMs and Validators at light rail, bus and rail locations.
Perform fare collection training and support documentation.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or 2 years of equivalent work related experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of software products available on the NJ TRANSIT network including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook Email/Calendar
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and present technical information to a non-technical audience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
