Position Summary:
NJIT is in the midst of digital transformation. A key component of that digital transformation is the replacement of our Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) system. We are seeking a qualified and motivated ERP Program Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for the end to end of the ERP program from selection through architecting and designing the right solution to implementing it and ensuring the appropriate level of post deployment support for each rollout.
Essential Functions:
Oversee the entire ERP program
Direct relationships with the system implementer and the product vendor
Advise business stakeholders on configuration decision making to ensure a secure, sustainable, functional and scalable solution
Ensure that ERP program is well planned and is progressing per the plan
Ensure that the overall program is on budget and the end product meets user needs
Establish a sustainable and efficient status reporting framework to keep on stakeholders, including executive leadership, apprised of progress
Lead the program management team and ensure coordination of efforts across the program
Monitor concurrent projects that may impact the ERP implementation effort and assess/mitigate impact
Coordinate program activities across multiple departments and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities
Work closely with all stakeholder groups to identify and prioritize program requirements that meet the needs of the institution
Leads and directs the work of the Project Manager(s)
Ensure that the program team members understand the goals and objectives of the program, and provide guidance and support to team members
Ensure that the program is completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders while adhering to institutional regulations and compliance requirements
Perform resource planning and ensure capacity utilization is optimal for the program while being mindful of operational activities
Resolve issues and escalate items that need executive attention in a timely manner
Maintain appropriate documentation for program activity tracking and reporting
Ensure ERP solution is well documented and tested, and all necessary parties are trained appropriately
Assess impact of decisions on other NJIT systems and processes and ensure alignment
This is a hybrid role. The selected candidate will be expected to be onsite for 2-3 days per week.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
7 years of cloud-based ERP implementation experience
10+ years of ERP implementation experience
Proven ability to manage and supervise staff
Solid understanding of higher education environment and processes
Comprehensive knowledge of field concepts and principles
At least one full implementation lifecycle experience with Workday product
Solution design, integration and change management expertise
Experience with architecture scalable enterprise applications
Excellent oral and written communication skills with high level of comfort communicating to executive leadership as well as end users
Experience with an extensive shared governance operating model is preferred
Strategic thinking skills
At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
