Robert Half Administrative Coordinator in Newark, New Jersey

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Administrative Coordinator situated in Newark, New Jersey, in the manufacturing industry. This role involves crafting master schedules, coordinating production workflow, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the timely production of goods. Additionally, the role includes data entry and customer service tasks, requiring proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities:

• Develop master schedules to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.

• Coordinate production workflow for multiple production lines, ensuring maximum performance and minimal delay.

• Translate customer forecast from Sales into production runs.

• Collaborate with department supervisors to check the progress of production regularly, ensuring products are made as per the schedule.

• Monitor and adjust operations that could potentially delay schedules.

• Plan Finished Goods inventory to prevent shortages and excess inventory.

• Coordinate with procurement to ensure raw material availability.

• Update and maintain all planning data within the system.

• Determine capacity, production line, standard labor requirements, and raw materials needed to cover production demand.

• Review supply and demand data to ascertain ideal inventory levels to meet customer demand and safety stock levels.

• Coordinate with Sales and Logistics teams to adjust shipping dates, order quantities, and lead-time as needed.

• Define problems, determine the root cause, and facilitate process improvements to implement corrective actions.

• Support all established plant and departmental goals and objectives.

• Develop and maintain procedures to support the supply chain group. Requirements

  • Familiarity with production planning in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in operations coordination in a manufacturing setting.

  • Knowledge of batch processing and batch records maintenance.

  • ERP Experience with MRP, Demand Planning, etc…

  • MS Office Excel
