JPMorgan Chase VP Project Manager - Managed Investment Projects in Newark, Delaware

The WM Managed Products Project team seeks to hire an experienced Vice President to manage large scale platform integration projects. The role will partner closely with Portfolio Solutions, focusing on the Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance program. This individual will manage end to end program deliverables including requirements, integrationof ESG data into client reporting, advisor tools, analytics; as well as determining other client reporting needs.

The WM Managed Products Operations team supports the discretionary business offered by Global Private Bank and US Wealth Management, which consists of the Chase Wealth Management and JP Morgan Americas businesses, representing in excess of $640 billion in AUM across 900k accounts.

The role requires the ability to deal with complex business challenges, tight deadlines, competing priorities and interaction with the senior management team. The individual must have a proven track record of managing in an operations organization. The qualified candidate will drive strategic implementation and program governance.


  • Responsible for managing all activities of the program lifecycle

  • Responsible for client experience and managing the risk of the organization

  • Responsible for all financial planning, capacity planning, strategy, structure, budget, metrics and resource allocation for the program teams

  • Responsible for strategic and tactical improvements to operating model, process, staffing and technology enhancement related to the program

  • Responsible for all regulatory requirements, external and internal audits

  • Responsible for senior business and senior Operations leadership communications


  • Highly visible role interfacing with portfolio managers, due diligence, and governance teams, operations staff, technology & senior stakeholders

  • Managed large scale projects or business initiatives across lines of businesses

  • Innovation and change management to drive efficiencies and scale in a controlled operations manner

  • Drive risk and control agenda

People Management - Prior experience managing teams is required; Ability to coach and provide meaningful feedback to employees; Demonstrated ability to foster an open working environment.

Client & Customer Focus - Analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to identify trends and improve processes for both the customer and the business.

Risk & Controls - Understanding of regulatory/legal landscape related to the investment product process; Ability to work with audit, compliance and regulatory constituencies to manage work in accordance with established procedures and relevant regulations and laws; Demonstrated accountability for work processes and the associated risks and controls; Demonstrated ability to raise issues to relevant stakeholders or management with respect to the control environment.


  • Demonstrated Operations leadership experience; Minimum 10 years of management experience including leading complex and geographically dispersed teams; Minimum 10 years of hands-on operations experience, managed account product operations, product management, or investments middle office management in the financial industry experience preferred

  • Demonstrated experience managing and collaborating with multiple teams, coordinating across different cross-functional initiatives, and reaching consensus with diverse stakeholders

  • Ability to move initiatives forward in a cross-functional and matrixed organizational model

  • Strong team player with ability to work with teams at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to quickly build relationships and influence colleagues, business leaders, and functional partners

  • Strong background and proven ability to transform Operations businesses across multiple business areas; Vocal in challenging business-as-usual operating models and recommending innovative improvements

  • Ability to identify, attract and retain diverse talent

  • Excellent analytical skills, communications and presentation skills; Confident communicator with ability to provide clear and succinct verbal and written updates for all levels of the organization

  • Excellent judgement and independent decision-making ability
