Actalent Shipping And Receiving Clerk in Newark, California
Shift: Monday- Friday, 6AM-2PM
Responsibilities:
Packing and shipping of all shipments, both domestic and international.
Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase.
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.
Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper or internal stakeholders to rectify damages and shortages.
Receives and processes all defective products returned for replacement or credit. Enters receivables into quarantine as necessary. Controls cage access and contents for quarantined items.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Performs basic computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all time.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Performs cycle counts.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be open to being cross trained within their manufacturing department!
Job Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Has minimum 2 years experience working within a shipping & receiving department.
Detail oriented.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of work quality.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must be able to lift/move 35 pounds of weight.
Must be able to work pulling product in and out of a refrigerated unit, as well as in and out of a cold room environment of 4-8 degrees Celsius.
Familiarity working within the Life Sciences industry and/or ISO 9001 regulations (preferred)
