The Digital Designer job is a role for someone with at least 5 years of dedicated web design, visual or user experience in an in-house or creative agency setting. The Digital Designer’s primary responsibility is to create and deliver effective, aesthetically pleasing and on-brand digital creative solutions across a wide variety of platforms. Work includes the design and technical implementation of email blasts, digital banner ads, social media graphics, digital communications platforms including elevator screens and video walls, design for mobile/tablet apps as well as WordPress microsites and websites.

The Digital Designer works in close collaboration with the in-house graphic design team as well as the Marketing, Public Affairs, and Leasing departments. He/she reports to the Sr. Graphic Designer.

  • Design and produce assets for websites, social media graphics, banner ads, email campaigns, and email templates. While some projects may require collaboration with consultants, the role is expected to be hands-on.

  • Design and update HTML/CSS coding of email templates / assets.

  • Working with Marketing, gather and translate business requirements into creative and intuitive design solutions

  • Manage corporate image library (Open Asset)

  • Create wireframes for Corporate and Residential websites, using PhotoShop, and collaborate with internal and external developers on production, utilizing InVision or Avocode

  • Work with internal and external developers to ensure website aesthetics are aligned with both the brand and digital best practices. Work with developers to ensure proper implementation within a web environment and ensure consistency and integrity of the creative vision.

  • Leverage analytics and campaign data to maximize design and technical implementation of digital tools.

  • Resize digital advertising from established creative campaigns

  • Ensure consistency of brand and creative across all digital touch points.

  • Collaborate with marketing and IT teams on updates and maintenance of all desktop and mobile websites – Corporate, Residential, Commercial, and Public Affairs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years successful professional design experience, preferably at a digital agency or in-house Web team for a product-driven business.

  • Experience implementing visual design across a range of platforms, including desktop, tablet and mobile

  • Strong wireframing skills

  • Strong digital portfolio of design work, showing solution to business problems through effective design.

  • Able to present concepts and collaborate with internal teams to achieve business goals.

  • Experience in web marketing/web design with a strong knowledge of Photoshop, HTML/CSS, CMS platforms like WordPress and development principles

  • Experience designing digital ads.

  • Strong work ethic and personal accountability.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong time and project management skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite—PhotoShop (in particular), InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Adobe Acrobat DC and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.

  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.
