Employer: Moody’s Analytics, Inc.Title: Asst Dir-DevOps EngineerLocation: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)Duties: Leverage knowledge of scripting, automation, continuous integration, and deployment to migrate applications from on-prem to cloud, improve development cycles, and ensure scalability and reliability. Perform automation and processes required to deploy, manage, configure, scale, and monitor internal, product and cloud-based applications. Coordinate with Development/Quality Assurance teams to facilitate experimentation along with functional and load-testing of applications. Coordinate with data engineering in using native cloud managed infrastructure across SQL and DynamoDB to perform queries and data mining. Perform creation and management of CI/CD processes related to product development and testing. Manage and support infrastructure and development applications, including architectural design, source code management, and hosted applications. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure successful delivery and implementation of assigned tasks. Identify and remediate cloud security issues. Design and implement security controls for infrastructure, applications, and data. Identify cloud cost saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation. Implement multi-region active-active pattern for moodys.com. Ensure redundancy and failover mechanisms across different geographic locations. Migrate legacy CICD pattern to AWS CodePipeline and Service Catalog pattern to support seamless deployment of code. Build and support network ingress model to meet business needs by using and implementing tools such as Cloudfare and HAProxy. Troubleshoot issues across cloud and on-prem stack (hardware, network, firewall, applications, database, and storage) and assist engineers, developers, and operations teams to resolve advanced system issues. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field plus at least two (2) years of experience as an Engineer, Developer, Technical Analyst/Consultant/Associate, or in a related position analyzing complex technical issues and processes to identify and understand requirements and develop solutions. Must have experience with the following: applying knowledge of cloud engineering, cloud and network security best practices, and software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile or Kanban Development Methodology; creating and using APIs for testing; using HAProxy for network traffic management and routing; deploying and managing production environments in Amazon AWS, including CloudFormation, RDS, EC2, ECS, S3, Route53, and Lambda; performing scripting and automation using Shell, Groovy, Python, PowerShell; working with database technologies, including DynamoDB and MS SQL; working with source control management, including BitBucket or GitHub, and CI/CD processes using Jenkins, puppet, CodePipeline, CodeBuild and Service Catalog; testing automation using Selenium; and using programming languages, including Java, Javascript, and C/C++/C#. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
