Our client, a global bank is seeking a Windows Platform Team Manager to join their team. In this Director-level role as a Windows Platform Team Manager, you will be part of the Cloud Transformation Team. The ideal candidate will have excellent hands-on technical, organizational, and communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Windows Platform Team Manager - Director

Location: Hybrid in Jersey City or White Plains

Pay Range: 200-220k annual salary plus bonus

What’s the Job?

  • As the Windows Platform Manager - Director, you will be managing a team but client is looking for someone who is highly technical and hands-on (Team Lead more so than pure Manager).

  • As the Windows Platform Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and directing the client's Windows-based infrastructure's movement to the cloud - Client is looking for a someone who will develop and execute the Windows strategy of going to the cloud (primarily Azure but some pockets of AWS).

  • Client is looking for someone with experience in a hybrid environment as they have a hybrid cloud / on-prem environment of Azure, AWS virtual machines, Entra ID, databases, Active Directory, etc.). Looking for someone with a mindset of looking how to modernize in a hybrid environment and thinking how to get to the cloud .

  • In addition to developing and executing the Windows strategy of moving Windows applications to the cloud, will also lead and mentor a team of engineers.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of their Windows systems.

  • Looking for a Microsoft Windows generalist who has experience in the implementation and support of Windows OS, Active Directory, O365 and Azure platforms.

  • This person will provide input into ongoing design and engineering work, picking up and running with final stage engineering and operationalization of systems as needed.

  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Windows engineering with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.

  • Expert knowledge of Windows infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.

  • Proficiency in Windows security practices and compliance requirements.

  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Budget management and vendor relationship experience.

  • Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, SCCM, SCOM, Active Directory, Azure AD, AADC, PowerShell, Intune MDM, Azure ARC
