Position Summary

As a Web Content Manager at the ANA, you’ll use your knowledge of online and mobile communication strategies to develop, implement, and enhance front-end web design. This is not a writing or content creation position.  Your main goal will be to conceive of and produce high-quality landing pages and supporting material that showcases and promotes ANA content provided by internal business lines.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing all the ANA’s public websites and the internal intranet, optimizing site performance, ensuring digital accessibility compliance, and executing strategic initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, design flair, and strong project management skills. More specifically, you will:

  • Develop, create, and manage engaging web pages that align with our brand strategy and address the needs and interests of our multiple stakeholders while ensuring accuracy, relevance, and consistency across all pages.

  • Collaborate with Marketing team members to develop a content strategy, spanning design, development, implementation, and optimization, that promotes internal and external user engagement.

  • Use web metrics and your knowledge of digital technology to maximize search rankings, optimize content, and analyze user engagement.

  • Use tools such as Google Analytics to analyze website traffic and user behavior, providing insights for continuous improvement in SEO strategies.

  • Use tools like SiteImprove for comprehensive site audits, identifying opportunities for improvement in SEO, accessibility, and overall site performance.

  • Use your editorial skills to collaborate with the Marketing, Content, and Design teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and advise internal and external clients on the most effective methods for presenting content on the web.

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create, produce, and manage high-quality pages using content developed by the ANA’s writing teams and other business units

  • Build relationships with clients and team members

  • Supervise visual layout of content

  • Regularly check and track content for accuracy

  • Edit, proofread, and suggest improvements to written content

  • Work in a multidisciplinary team of designers, marketing executives, and writers

  • Adhere to SEO rules

  • Comply with copyright and privacy regulations

  • Determine and track important KPIs

  • Track and analyze website traffic

  • Produce and present reports

  • Keep abreast of new trends in web technology

    Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • B.A. in journalism, communications or similar relevant field plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in web content management, digital accessibility coordination, SEO, and UX design.

  • 3+ years of experience with the Adobe Creative Suite

  • In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices and tools

  • Familiarity with HTML, XML, and Bootstrap

  • Good organizational and time-management skills

  • Team player with great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Detail oriented with solid proofreading and editing skills

  • Creative thinker and problem-solver

    Salary and Total Rewards Package:

    Starting pay range:  $70,000 to $75,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
