BNP Paribas Vice President (Equities Algo Development) in New York, New York

Vice President (Equities Algo Development) for BNP Paribas RCC Inc. in New York, NY, to develop and support the Equities Algorithmic Trading Platform. Face off to the business to understand requirements and translate it into design. Will be involved in architectural design discussions to help shape the strategic direction of the platform. Will assist the Level 1 Support Team during incidents/outages. Will assist the Coverage Team in answering client questions with regard to platform behavior and order performance. Will be responsible for delivery, participating in design, coding, peer review, working with QA and Production Support teams on releases. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Statistics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus six (6) years of experience as a Vice President (Equities Algo Development) or related occupation in C++ development or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Statistics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Vice President (Equities Algo Development) or related occupation in C++ development. Demonstrated Expertise (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): (DE) leveraging low latency programming techniques, including thread pools, lock-free data structures, memory pooling, and asynchronous I/O; (DE) with Linux: OS, scripting, and common toolset; (DE) with Finance and Front Office Technology domain, including: implementing equities, options market making algorithm implementation, corresponding automated hedging strategies, and implementing tools for positions monitoring and short-sell prevention; and (DE) with TCP/IP networking and UDP and Multicast.
