Citigroup US Personal Banking Risk Program Manager - Sr. VP in New York, New York

Risk Senior Project Manager partners with multiple teams to execute highly transformational, complex risk programs. This position will report to the US Personal Banking Risk Program Management Lead and will also function as his Depute and be responsible for providing coverage on driving the strategy and execution to ensure the goals & objectives of multiple initiative/ programs are successfully delivered. Expectations include ability to engage senior stakeholders at CAO, CRO and MD level to support facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics while providing thought leadership on fulfilling regulatory obligations.

Senior Project Managers in the Risk Program Management organization are expected to have excellent proven track-record in managing multiple complex, multi-faceted initiatives with stakeholders within a bank’s risk management organizations. Demonstrate strong partnership, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills to achieve value-adding outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior Project Managers is expected to manage the execution of Book of Work across US Personal Banking Risk and, in partnership with other Program Management leads, businesses and other functions, with best-in-class execution discipline.

  • Partner closely with the USPB Credit Risk PM Lead to function as a Depute/Delegate when needed to

  • Support definition of Strategy, BoW management, Planning and driving execution.

  • Collaborate with multiple Stakeholders ensure programs/projects fully addresses the letter and the spirit of the regulatory feedback, broader supervisory expectations and underlying issues and root causes, and is embedded in a broader strategic vision.

  • The professional will provide execution management and governance to 1st & 2nd LOD Risk teams executing against highly transformational, complex programs of work.

  • Strengthen capabilities while learning from internal / external best practices and contribute to continuously enhance Risk Management’s program management practices in collaboration with CAO Transformation Group

  • Develop and execute the planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running the Initiative, Program or portfolio of Projects.

  • Manage, monitor & track execution of transformation programs including definition and timing of work streams, deliverables and other milestones against commitments, dependencies, and resource needs.

  • To help identify and escalate program constraints/risks/issues (e.g., lack of clarity on outcomes, ineffective program management, resource constraints, lack of stakeholder support etc.) impacting project delivery to appropriate stakeholders; ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.

  • Perform end-to-end review and challenge of program deliverables to confirm quality and adequacy of deliverables against program target state.

  • Continuously ensure that programs have clearly defined RASCI and engage all relevant Citi stakeholders with appropriate accountability.

  • Ensure consistent implementation and adherence of common PMO processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery, reporting, and closure process across programs.

  • Support all aspects of the project reporting including RAG ratings, key performance indicators, status updates, adherence to dates and deliverables and quality of deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience, within the Financial Services industry or Big Four consulting required, during which s/he applied formal project management methodologies to the successful planning, monitoring, and reporting of complex projects spanning geographies and organizations.

  • SME knowledge in Risk Management disciplines in a global bank environment (e.g., enterprise risk, credit risk, market risk, operational risk, risk identification, risk appetite, etc.)

  • Understanding of the data (design, principles) and technology models and architecture

  • Good Understanding of Agile methodology

Education:

  • Graduate Degree in Finance, Economics, or other analytical discipline with strong relevant experience

  • Certifications like Professional Risk Manager (PRM), Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.

  • Additional certification in Agile, Prince 2, Data Sciences will be an added advantage.

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
