Trademark Paralegal - PVH Corp.

The Trademark Paralegal will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of trademark prosecution from conducting and clearance of proposed trademarks and slogans to all matters relating to the registration, maintenance, and docketing of PVH’s trademark portfolio.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

Maintaining and auditing a large domestic and international trademark portfolio and database.

Preparing and prosecuting trademark applications and supporting documents in the US, corresponding with the PTO and foreign associates and managing outside counsel on worldwide prosecution matters, deadlines and instructing on new applications, renewals and oppositions.

Proficiency with use of the PTO’s online filing systems.

Solid experience conducting, reviewing, analyzing and advising on domestic and international trademark clearance searches.

Review of watch lists and conduct due diligence.

Seeking guidance from and working with outside counsel as needed.

Assisting with clearance of ornamental graphics and props in campaign and fashion shoots.

Advising internal clients on appropriate trademark use on product, packaging and ecommerce.

Assisting with the creation of global trademark filing and enforcement strategies.

Reviewing invoices from, and building strong relationships with local counsel.

Maintain and update files in internal share folders.

Assisting with other IP projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: At least 3-5 years previous Domestic and International Trademark Prosecution and Docketing Paralegal Experience.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.

Skills:

Extensive knowledge of CPI Trademark database, CORSEARCH, and all aspects of USPTO trademark work (prosecution, maintenance, renewals, oppositions and co-existence agreements).

Highly motivated and organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive details.

Strong project management.

Can work autonomously.

Task and detailed oriented.

Resourceful.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.

Pay Range:$117,000 - $147,500

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
