Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • The Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) team is responsible for driving the Company's data and analytics strategy, providing advanced analytics solutions, and managing Con Edison's Enterprise Data Analytics Platform (EDAP). The Portfolio Manager will coordinate the portfolio of data and analytics initiatives that the ED&A team manages, including the prioritization of efforts, management of the team's budgets and procurements, and the administration of a central project management function for the team.

  • Organize and maintain the portfolio of ED&A projects and use cases portfolio, including the prioritization of efforts across business areas.

  • Formalize and manage the analytics project intake process, including working with business areas across the Company to develop projects vision and scope statements.

  • Develop standards, processes, and tools to facilitate Project Management excellence in ED&A projects.

  • Maintain information accuracy in project management systems of record (PI360, Unifier) and consolidate status reporting for the ED&A portfolio. Represent ED&A and report out on portfolio status at governance and senior leadership meetings.

  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, whitepapers, capital rulings and appropriations and engage with cost management, project accounting, property records, IT PMO as needed.

  • Manage procurement activities and vendor contract related expenditures. Work with Supply Chain, business organizations, IT staff, and vendors as necessary to negotiate new purchases, modifications, and extensions.

  • Develop team performance metrics around data and analytics initiatives, technologies, and engagement across the Company and develop dashboards for tracking metrics over time.

  • Manage communication and branding strategy for the ED&A team, including the development of an intranet portal and newsletter

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience. or

  • Associate's Degree and a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience. or

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience. or

  • Master's Degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree preferably in an analytical, mathematical, business, or computational field. and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in an analytical, mathematical, business, or computational field. and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of project and portfolio management concepts and processes.

  • Experience managing a diverse group of stakeholders.

  • Project financial management and budgeting experience.

  • Familiarity with supply chain / procurement processes.

  • Experience with project prioritization, tracking and documentation.

  • Familiarity with data & analytics initiatives, teams, and technologies.

  • Experience leading teams and gaining buy-in.

  • Experience with organizational change management.

  • Familiarity with rate case, capital ruling, and appropriation processes.
