Position Summary
The School of Nursing is looking to hire two (2) Student Research Workers to work under the direction of a Principal Investigator's program of research focusing on improving memory and brain function in older adults with kidney disease.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with recruitment and clinic interaction
- Assisting in monitoring study database;
- Assisting with data collection, cleaning, and preparation;
- Assist with statistical analysis of research data;
- Assisting with manuscript preparation and submission, including conducting literature searches, manuscript writing and manuscript submissions;
- Assisting with administrative tasks including IRB submission/revisions;
- Attending all research related meetings;
- Working closely with sites and study personnel and
- Performing other duties as assigned.
This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is based on availability of funding.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree and current enrollment at Columbia University.
Preferred Qualifications
Computer fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with R program.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work well in a team.
Previous research experience is desired.
Statistical and database management experience desired.
At least one year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable
