SUNY Optometry Student Affairs Graduate Intern in New York, New York

Are you seeking to gain real-world experience in higher education administration specifically in the field of career development? We invite you to join our team as a Student Affairs Graduate Intern at SUNY College of Optometry. This internship will primarily be working with the Career Development Center as well as our CSTEP (Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program) program; however, there will also be opportunities to delve into operations of other various key departments within Student Affairs, including Financial Aid, Registrar, Admissions, Opportunity Programs, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and direct collaboration with the Vice President for Student Affairs & Engagement. Key Responsibilities:As an intern within the Office of Student Affairs at the SUNY College of Optometry, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall operations of our institution specifically our Career Development Center and CSTEP program. Interns will gain hands-on experience within various facets of Student Affairs, receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, and develop a deeper understanding of the operations of a health professions school.Qualifications:Enrolled as a student at an MA program in Higher Education.Strong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively.Interest in higher education and student affairs.Salary Range: $20-25/hour range/10 hours per week.
