This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Staff Associate I is an exciting one. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A key research team member to the strategic growth of this laboratory's mission/vision, the Staff Associate I will advance medical knowledge and to translate it into clinically relevant strategies for diagnosis and treatment of allergic and immunologic conditions. The incumbent will have active participation in clinical and/or basic research and should be able to compete for research funding.

  • Laboratory management including safety compliance, equipment maintenance.
  • Supply ordering.
  • Patient database and sample management.
  • Cell culture and functional assays on primary human samples and cell lines.
  • Functional assay development in primary human samples.

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in specific research field and 4 years of wet laboratory experience.
  • Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines;
  • The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other's contributions; and
  • The ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff.
