Amazon Sr. Program Manager, AWS Events Tech Team in New York, New York

Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead business operations, budget management, and strategic planning processes for the Events Tech organization. This role will be responsible for driving a cross-functional prorgam, managing financial resources, and ensuring the successful execution of the event technology roadmap and key mechanisms such as Quarterly Business Reviews, OP1, OP2, SMART Goals, and operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day business operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficiency-driven solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

Lead the annual Event Tech budgeting and contracting processes, working closely with finance and workstream leaders.

Facilitate the development and maintenance of Event Tech roadmap.

Ensure alignment between strategic goals and operational execution.

Track progress against key milestones and adjust plans as needed.

Manage the OP1 and OP2 processes, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.

Coordinate with stakeholders to gather inputs and synthesize information for leadership reviews.

Lead cross-functional programs and initiatives to drive business growth and operational improvements.

Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.

Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
