Job Description

A global banking client is seeking a Sr. Manager, Operational Risk Advisory to ensure that control management is deeply embedded in the organization's day-to-day operations. The role will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across various business units, functional areas, and geographies. The Senior Manager will serve as a front-door to Operational Risk Management (ORM), helping business units and functional partners navigate ORM for clear solutions to their risk-related questions. They will also facilitate risk awareness and education within product and service teams to enhance their ability to manage risks effectively. Additionally, the Senior Manager will work to enhance the understanding and use of the risk governance framework across business units through regular communication. They will coordinate with product development and service delivery teams to integrate ORM considerations into the product lifecycle and service operations. The Senior Manager will also manage the development of the operational risk framework to enable effective risk management and decision-making in the business units, and assess the needs of business unit and functional leaders to ensure sufficient understanding of ORM and controls.

Skills and Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function)

• Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities

• Ability to translate operational risk strategy and appetite into execution guidelines

• Review tracking and identification of KRI limit and risk appetite issues to manage operational risks within thresholds

• Oversee implementation of operational risk governance frameworks

• Communicate and ensure understanding/adherence to operational risk procedures and standards

• Manage operational risk exam management processes

• Preferred experience in financial services industry null
