Key job responsibilities

Build and maintain reporting for Sponsored Brands performance, define and track goals for product leadership, and partner with the business on deep dives and high impact growth strategies.

Analyze data, trends and variances, anticipate business requirement, and build insights for the business.

Build in-depth analysis on international performance and raise opportunities and risks with leadership through routine forums.

Partner with cross functional finance teams and own monthly and weekly financial and operational performance metrics for your business e.g. Weekly/Monthly Business Reviews

A day in the life

As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will closely work with business and finance leaders to develop financial models for both short and long term business and financial goals, evaluate new business opportunities, and drive business initiatives for Sponsored Brands ads product. This role will partner with the Brand Ads team across Sponsored Brands. This role works across multiple teams in Amazon towards growing Sponsored Brands Advertising worldwide.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 2+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
