The Specialist, Ad Operations will be responsible for ensuring the successful, on-time and high-quality implementation of Heineken’s digital marketing campaigns in conjunction with CANVAS media team members. A successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving, time management, and inter-personal skills as well as being able to function independently and contribute to efforts that ensure campaign operations run optimally.

THE ROLE

Digital Tracking Technologies

A Specialist should have working knowledge and maintain expertise in digital marketing technologies essential to digital deployment, tracking and optimization, including:

  • Ad servers (DCM, Innovid, Flashtalking)

  • Rich Media Vendors (Celtra, Google Studio)

  • Online Video (Innovid)

  • Viewability and Ad Verification (Moat, DoubleVerify, IAS)

  • Audience Verification (Nielsen, Comscore)

  • Digital Media Workflow

  • Programmatic Landscape and Workflow (DV360)

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Learn and master processes and systems related to the trafficking and workflow management of digital advertising campaigns

  • Contribute to and present position statements, case studies and best practices around the deployment, integration and adaptation of new and existing digital marketing technologies

  • Learn and master the setup and onboarding of digital third-party measurement platforms including Nielsen, Moat, etc.

CROSS-TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Occasional Programmatic Exposure and Contribution

  • Interest in programmatic buying landscape and process

  • Creative trafficking and quality assurance checks within DV360

  • Pacing and reporting automation by use of templates within DV360

  • YouTube and open exchange optimization recommendations within DV360

Team Support

  • Primary day-to-day contact for technology and service partners, responsible for ensuring premium servicing of CANVAS and maintaining an updated knowledge of services and products

  • Coordinate and provide training to internal media team on digital tools as needed

  • Provide campaign activation support, including requesting links on test pages for pre-launch QA

  • Serve as a point of escalation for troubleshooting implementation

  • Track and manage viewability reports to ensure campaigns are meeting viewability thresholds and maintain an ongoing relationship with viewability partner Moat

  • Oversee Ad Ops + Nielsen DAR/TAR relationship to ensure tags are implemented properly and that placement match rates remain above-benchmark

  • Manage non-working fees (ad serving, data fees, etc.), providing estimates to investment and strategy teams so that we can properly manage budget

  • Proficiency in ad tech including:

  • Google Ad Products (Campaign Manager, Studio, Analytics)

  • Video (VAST, VPAID, CTV)

  • Display and Video Dynamic Creative (Google, Flashtalking, Innovid)

  • Viewability and Ad Verification Platforms (Moat)

  • Project Management (Excel, Google Sheets, Smartsheets, Sharepoint)

  • Exposure to basic coding (Javascript, HTML and CSS)

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively is crucial

  • Experience trafficking high volume, quick-turn campaigns for large brands

  • Demonstrated skills using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and/or similar presentation tools

  • Extremely detail-oriented and precise

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to teach others with a variety of learning styles

  • Can translate highly technical concepts into layman’s terms

  • Public speaking and management skills

  • Proactive, organized, dedicated and a team player

  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
